I am SO alert. I don't know what it is. The medication? I went to bed at 2 last night, woke up a few times for no reason, and was up at 7. Not sleepy at all. Right awake. Not that I'm restless. Just alert. I want to stay on this medication if that's what's making me this way.

I saw my father. He looked at me and said, in English, "How's your groin?"
"Huh?"

OK, he knows a lot of medical English, so he used the word as 鼠径部. But to me, the first thing I think of when I hear the word "groin" is male genitals. (Man, I hope I'm not attracting weird people to this blog by writing these words.) It is an indirect way of calling the area, and I never used the word to mean the inguinal region (as if I knew the word "inguinal" a minute ago). It's just my ignorance, but it just sounded funny.

Well, it's getting better, thanks for asking. So it WAS the situps. とほほ。

So why do they use the character 鼠 for the area? What does a mouse have to do with it?

I don't wanna know.
