American Splendor (アメリカン・スプレンダーアメリカン・スプレンダー [DVD]
So funny. Quirky, offbeat, sad and touching. Who would have thought an ordinary life of a file clerk at a hospital in Cleveland would be a movie material? It's about a guy named Harvey Pekar who made his ordinary life into comic series called, well, "American Splendor." This is a real person, not a fictitious character. That's why it's even funnier and sadder when you read the comic and watch the movie. I found his blog, but it hasn't been updated for nearly two years. I guess it was something they did for awhile when the movie came out.
Probably not for everyone, but I enjoyed it. A lot.
