Another adjustment. FINALLY they are going to move the upper front teeth toward the back! The extraction gaps are not completely closed, but just about. The gap you see in the photo is where the canine used to be, and the canine has moved to where the extracted tooth used to be. Amazing how teeth move! The doc said (for the umpteenth time) I might have to get implants later. It seems that in order to get a correct bite, I will probably need to push the upper jaw back (not just the upper teeth), and use of implants is a good option. She pushed my chin, and moved the lower jaw up and down to check my bite. She said I am unconsciously moving my lower jaw forward when I chew to meet the lower molars with the upper. It seems that my mouth will be much more recessed than now. My lower jaw is more recessed than average to begin with. That is why they are moving the lower molars forward and not backward. Hm. I wonder what kind of profile I will end up with. Will I ever achieve the "E line"?

I have huge loops now right next to the upper no. 2 teeth (shown in red). I hook elastic bands on them to close the lower extraction gaps (shown in blue). It is a bit tricky because there is little space between the loop and the gum. I have to stretch the elastics to make them thin otherwise it is impossible to hook them. The doc said if I put too much force on the loops, the brackets may come off. I have to look in a mirror to do it, using both hands. I was trying to hook one after dinner (porridge I brought back from Finland. Perfect meal after an adjustment), and of course I snapped it on my lip. It hurt, damn it.
